Though there have been success stories with them on these forums, there also have been many problems with them. It appears as if the drive should be compatible with my Mac Pro, and that it's TRIM-enabled out of the box, but I'm curious if there are any Samsung 850 users on here, and if so, if there have been any issues with the drives.I’ve had my Mid 2007 Mac mini for several years, upgrading RAM from 1 GB to 3 GB and the hard drive from a pedestrian 5400 rpm 80 GB to a 7200 rpm 320 GB WD Scorpio Black and now to a 250 GB Samsung 850 EVO SSD.You may have made an unfortunate selection with the Samsung SSD. I would be using the drive for sample storage. I'm considering a 2TB Samsung 850 Pro or Evo SSD for my Mac Pro 4,1 (early 2009 model).
